1. Posted July 15, 2015. I sent my old Thunderbird Bass to Gibson for restoration. It came back looking, playing and sounding great. My only issue is that. they painted over the serial number. I can see part but not all of it. Does anyone know a good way to restore the serial number. as it was originally.
